Case Studies

Over 30,000 heizomat boilers have been installed accross Europe over the years and whilst numbers in the UK are in the hundreds rather than thousands, through the Heizomat approved installer network we have completed a wide variety of installations in almost every conceivable context from containerised systems for poultry sheds and greenhouses to district heating schemes for estates, farms and housing associations to biomass drying systems and industrial requirments.

We have summarised some representative case studies and listed them below.

The owner was interested in installing a wood chip boiler in order to lower fuel costs and utilise the woodland resource from within Lexham Estate. The requirement was to heat the Hall, two Cottages, the Estate office and a Greenhouse.

Lexham Hall Case Study

The owner was interested in installing a wood chip boiler in order to lower fuel costs and utilise the woodlands within the estate. This will allow him to be self sufficient and add value to under managed woodlands.

An HSK-RA 102 was installed into a 12 bedroom family owned Hotel located in the Lakes.

A 500 acre farm in Sicklinghall with a 150 kW boiler, heating a business centre and two houses via a small district scheme.

This customer is the owner of a large house in Yorkshire.  He runs his boiler on woodchip produced from the brash material from his own woodlands. Prior to installing the biomass boiler, this material was normally left on the woodland floor, which produces the same amount of carbon dioxide as burning it in a biomass boiler.

This boiler is heating a large house with offices and a swimming pool. Fuel delivery was not an issue as the previous boiler was running on pellets, the removal of the existing fuel bunker was going to be costly so a solution was to retain the original fuel bunker and modify it to suit.

Chiddinglye Estate is the home of the Earl of Limmerick and his family, Lord Limmerick had a 198kw boiler installed to heat his house and five other properties on the estate.

Project History

The requirement was to provide space heating and DHW to the Hall, and a number of other Estate Cottages/ Flats.

An HSK-RA 198kW boiler provides heating and hot water to 1 swimming pool, 2 shower blocks and 2 properties at the Ranch Caravan Holiday Park in South Ayrshire

The installation can be fuelled by woodchips, wood shavings or Pellets.

HEIZOMAT HSK 198 KW

A Heizomat RHK-204 boiler provides heating and hot water for the farm and its six properties. The fuel store has been designed to accept wood chips, pellets and biomass crops such as miscanthus and rape straw.

Minsca Farm in Lockerbie has had an RHK 75kW boiler installed to provide heating and hot water to two farm houses and a workshop. The RHK type boiler will accept woodchips, pellets and fuel crops such as miscanthus and rape straw.

Longloch Farm in Kirkcaldy have had a 75 kW RHK boiler fitted to provide heating and hot water to 3 properties around the farm. The boiler can be fuelled with wood chip, saw dust, wood shavings or pellets as well as fuel crops such as miscanthus and rape straw.
